Preserving the Environment takes centre stage amongst the company's goals.

The general business strategy complements the company's environmental policy, and the protection of the Environment constitutes, over and above the actual field of business itself, a further business goal.

In order to achieve this goal, the Management has worked hand-in-hand with employees to develop environmental targets and guidelines designed to preserve the Environment:

 

•  We understand protecting the Environment to be a major management task and we ensure this is accomplished through specific operating guidelines and tasks in each and every one of the company's operations and areas of business. Protecting the Environment requires us all to conduct ourselves responsibly.

•  We understand the reduction of environmental impact to be the core focus of our environmental protection policy.

•  Our appointment of a supervisor for the environmental management system ensures consideration is given to current legal requirements in matters of environmental protection in all the company's decisions and their application through those measures adopted. We pledge to comply with these legal requirements.

•  Our company regularly reviews the state of environmental protection in order to identify weak points, implement the necessary actions and document the progress made.

•  We instruct and train our employees extensively in environmental matters, encouraging them to conduct themselves in the workplace in a manner that reflects this environmental awareness.

•  Our efforts are geared towards the ongoing reduction and reuse of the main raw material used, paper, as well as the most rational use possible of all other resources, including energy and water.

•  We provide those interested with relevant environmental data on our company.

•  We understand legal requirements to be a statement of minimums and throughout the entire company we aspire to a greater degree of environmental protection.

Both Management and employees in all areas are responsible for the proper and efficient pursuit of environmental guidelines and targets within the Environmental Management System.

The environmental programmes drawn up each year on the basis of this shared responsibility ensure continuous improvement in environmental protection.
